Thank you for your interest in Springfield Oaks Saanens/Sables.  2020 marks my 41st year with dairy goats, and I am proud of what Iíve produced.  I feel that my animals get better every year.  They have also done well for their owners in other herds, being good milkers and show-quality producers. Iím pleased to have them in homes where they are appreciated. The combination of DHIR milk records and annual linear appraisal scores demonstrate that the productivity of a Springfield Oaks Saanen/Sable goes along with beautiful general appearance.

In 2020, we added an outstanding Sable buckling (Kit) from longtime friend and fellow Saanen breeder, Sherry Panuska.  Jonathan has developed an interest in breeding Sables and since several of our current her carry a color gene, we leased Cisco Peppe le Pew from Nan Wojcik last fall and are excited to see Kit's offspring in 2021. Although most will be Experimental, they will bring outstanding production and type to the herd along with the color gene...a lot to work with.

Although I maintain a small herd, usually freshening only 12-15 does each year, maintaining quality and consistency is paramount. Springfield-Oaks pedigrees feature multiple generations of star milkers as well as multiple generations of both does and bucks scoring Excellent. Your $100.00 deposit will reserve a kid.  The deposit will be refunded if your kid is not born, or is not of the quality I expect, and you do not wish to select a substitute. To maintain your deposit, payment in full is due within 10 days of the kidís birth, and kids must be shipped at 3 weeks of age unless other arrangements have been made.  The prices listed here are for pre-ordered kids.  I reserve the right to retain any kid and prices may change after kids are born.  Shipping is out of Tucson on American, Alaska or Delta. Shipping after May 1st is not recommended due to the heat in Tucson.

Thanks so much for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy yourself and if you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me.

Although Springfield Oaks began in an oak-hickory woodlot, Springfield Township, Winneshiek County, Iowa, we are now located in SE Arizona. At an elevation of 4300', we have all four seasons with annual temperatures ranging from highs in the upper 90s to lows in the teens. The dry climate provides an ideal environment for raising dairy goats, and they thrive. The Sulphur Springs valley is surrounded by mountains, including the Chiricahuas that rise to an elevation of over 10,000'.
